whining non stop

Well... I hate delay and procrastination in all its form.
Unfortunately for the past week, I've been down the weather.
Then, there r few people that I cared so much asking for help, and I just couldn't say no.

Ended up, ehem... the work is piled up.
Gosh.. and it makes my head spinning even more.

Ciaoo...

What? But Why?

Two months ago when this particular person relate this story, I almost choke up.

"Ko sewel!" dan kemudian saya ketawa bagai nak gila.. It's hilarious. It's a simple storyline, the one u could see in Cerekarama or Ntah-apa-ke-nama-slot in tele.

Ginila...
Ms A is in relationship with Mr not-so-good-looking guy. Thinking that she could get a better catch, Ms A dumped Mr not-so-good-looking-guy. Mr not-so-good-looking-guy advertised himself in few tabloids (i've checked, he DID just that... sewel ok). Last2 sangkut ngan Ms B who is far more beautiful than Ms A. Out of sudden, Ms A cari balik Mr not-so-good-looking and knowing that he had Ms B now, she just couldn't sit still.

"Very not u to do things like that", I told Ms A when she told me she had catfight with Ms B. I don't find it funny anymore.

"That is errr very childish", what else should i say when she even created few FB accounts just to spy on Ms B. She even spend some considerable time to report (yang buruk2 saja) about Ms B to Mr not-so-good-looking-guy. "For what?" I asked again. She said for self satisfaction. Serious I don't get it.

Whenever we bumped into one another, she will tell me Ms B's recent activities. And her activities too. I've told her numerous time, I m not interested, but still maybe i didn't say it loud enough, maybe.

Last week she told me a jaw dropping news. She created a FB account under Ms B name.
Me : MasyaAllah... kenapa?
Ms A: sajalah geram.. biar family n kawan2 dia tau sapa dia sebenarnya.
Me : Laaa... buat apa pun?
Ms A: Biar family dia tau dia tu bila keluar x pakai tudung, tulis kat wall macam Islamik sgt.
Me : Kan itu urusan Allah nak balas.
Ms A: Saja, puas hati bila dia sedih. Biar dia tau malu sikit ambik bf orang.

Goshh... sampai mcm tu sekali. Thanx god Ms B's family said they will hunt Ms A sampai lubang cacing. So she closed the account. I advised Ms A, she will get caught, and how her misconduct could lead her to harrasment charge and bla bla..

And today, I see her again on my way to get my nst. I thought things were settle when she closed the FB account, boy I was wrong. She sent some messages to Ms B's family member telling them how bad Ms B is. Wohoooo its too much.

Anyway, after berbuih2 kasi nesihat dulu, I think it's time saya buat bodo je. I picked up the newspaper n started reading.

honestly citer rebut2 bf ni hari2 la saya layan.
normally saya ketawa je. paling kelakar 3 thn lepas, a new student see me coz kakak dia suh cakap ngan saya ada budak form 2 tempeleng dia. saya pun tanyala kat budak form 2 tu betul ke x? dia cakap betul dia tempeleng.
besoknya saya jumpakan depa bertiga (budak baru, budak form dan kakak budak baru tu).
Ceritanya si kakak tempeleng budak form 2 tu, n budak form 2 tu x puas hati dia tempeleng adik orang tu.

"habis tu kakak dia tempeleng saya, saya tempelengla adik dia" selambax je dia cakap, dan saya terus ketawa berguling2. Even adik yang kena tempeleng tu pun ketawa sekali. Apa ke punya x logik. Tapi itula akal budak2.

Saya suruh diaorang settle. Jadi masing2la tuduh menuduh. kes berebut bfla.. Saya biarje diaorang bertikam lidah. Dah lama sket tu saya pun tanya.

me :Yang, bf tu ada hensem macam Anuar Zain? kaya giler ke...
Diorang: eh cer* ni xder la.. (ketawa besar)
me : kalau hensem sgt tu, i pun nak jugak masuk berebut.. hahhaha
diorang: alaaa... cer* ni..
me : kalau takat ala-ala cap ayam je, x yah sampai rebut2 ble x? malu la..
diorang: uhuh...
me : awak berdua cantik (sambil kasi cermin), belajar pun ok, misti awak dapat yg lebih baik.

tapi budak form 2 tu berkeras nak buat report polis jugak sbb dia kena tempeleng depan orang ramai. Kali ni saya tak ketawa lagi. Saya tak berapa berkenan pergi balai polis.

"Yang, nanti balik rumah u discussed balik apa yang i cakap ni ngan ur parents tau" tu mukaddimah saya. Xkanlah saya nak halang dia mencari keadilan. Itu hak dia. The gud thing is, sebab saya pelupa, saya suka mencatat setiap apa yang dilaporkan oleh the kids. Jadi bila saat2 macam ni, saya boleh recalled balik smer tu tanpa halangan, hanya bila saya betul-betul pasti ia bermanfaat.

Make short, tiada laporan polis.

Sebenarnya, dengan budak2 senang. Kalau kita cakap dia dengar. oh... baru semalam si kakak tu memperkenalkan bf barunya kepada saya.

"ok x?", dia tanya. Boleh macam tu?

Tapi dengan orang dewasa ni.. adeiiii...

Kenangan lebih indah dari peristiwa.

Satu hari saya sentap, dengan diri sendiri.

Kenapa saya boleh ingat banyak perkara tentang awak, tetapi awak tidak pernah ingatpun apa-apa tentang saya. Perghh.. saya membebel dalam hati saja.

Saya hafal makanan kegemarannya, sukan yang dia sukai, saya tau dia suka Ribena, saya tau impiannya and bla bla... kalau saya mengungkit memang panjang nanti.

but still... sometimes saya rasa sangat tidak dihargai.

Me: X nak makan dah. X payah la
Dia: Tadi u cakap belum makan kan? Hv something to eat ye
Me : Kalau x nak boleh x?
Dia : No u have to. What's ur pick?
Me : Sukahatila. Anything.
Dia : beef r chicken?
Me : Wic one is taste better?
Dia : Beef
Me : Beef then.. dont askla.. anything tau.. i x kisah pun. I nak g sana jap.

So I excused myself. Selalunya saya ikut je nak makan apapun. Kenapa sekarang kena tanya-tanya pulak.

Dia : Mari sini jap, nak air apa?
Me : Anythingla *nada tinggi*
Dia: No u choose.. I insist
Me: Mango
Penjual itu: Mango habis kak.
Me: oooo mineral water then..

"I know u will say Mango, that's what I requested the first time, " kata dia.

"Oh really?" saya tanya sambil cuba tersenyum. "Glad u could read my mind", saya cakap ngan muka x bersalah.

Sebenarnya minuman feberet saya ialah horlicks ais.

Berkali-kali ku katakan i love u.

Bukan itu yang saya nak cakap sebenarnya.

Bila saya susah hati, saya nangis. Masa tu bulan puasa. Kawan saya cakap jangan nangis, nanti dia sedih. Tapi air mata macam air terjun.

Saya tanya dia kenapa, dia cakap sama macam skrip saya sewaktu menangis dulu.

It is an unwritten rule when male colleagues said something awful I would never take side. I tried my best to listen and never give comment, because i don't think it's needed.

Jadi saya cuma cakap, "Jangan sedih, I love you tau".
Kami sama-sama ketawa.

Janganlah lari..
Budak A: Belanja teh ais dulu, baru kami tak lari.
Saya : No problem... ehhh tapi x bawa pursela, nak cepat tadi.. besok tau..
Budak A: Janji ye..
Saya : Janji.. jangan lari tau...

Saya : Dah banyak hari saya cari, awak pergi mana?
Budak A: hehhehehe (read: x datang sekolah/ponteng/hilang)
Saya : Siapa eh kawan baik awak yang selalu lepak sama2?
Budak A: Kenapa?
Saya : Tanya saja..
Budak A :ooookk (sebut nama satu persatu)
Saya : Nasib baik cukup duit, nah, nanti rehat minum teh ais sama-sama ye.
Budak A : Duit apa ni?
Saya : Kan ari tu saya janji.. sorry la hari tu x bawa purse.. awak x larikan hari tu?
Budak A : Eh..... x payah la teacher... kami main2 je..
Saya : Mana boleh janji kena tepati.

But then 10 years ago, saya sabar banyak..
Tak berani saya nak tulis what have I done to them. Suffice to say, today I have class with them again.

While they busy doing the exercise, I counted them. Without asking, the monitor commented, "Ce* diorang x berani dah nak ponteng kelas cer* lagi, semua ada hari ini".

I wonder, in 10 years time, will this batch treat me with their utmost respect, the way Budak A did.

What you give you get back

(gambar ehsan di sini)

It is an open secret my favourite shoes is KasutCapPenguin. Due to its durability and comfy. Anyway because of the financial constrain (ehem..) for daily use I prefer something err.... cheaper..

Five years ago I stumbled upon an orange store with "Gedung Keluarga Anda" tagline. I love orange, but wasn't keen on budget store (whatever that means la kan). The products ranged from houseware (sudu, periuk garfu) to lingerie.

It offered lots of shoes. Sadly to say, the quality is questionable. The heels are bit shaky (use your imagination). Anyway, I keep on frequenting that store to look for shoes. At one time I bought 3,4 pairs at a go.

The reasons are the salesgirls. Two friendly young Malay girl who were so funny and will go extra miles to entertain us, and the rest of the customers. Their warm personality really melt out heart and our pocket too...

I myself, couldn't stand pushy salesperson. These girls never ask me to buy anything. They just giggled and shared the perasaan-sewel-suka-try kasut.

Sadly these personality traits never adopt by the Tanjong Malim Branch. The salesgirls are very lack of enthusiasm attending to the customers request. Jangan kata nak jawab bila orang tanya, muka masing-masing macam baru makan mangga muda je.. huishhhh

Maybe their meagre salary affected their common sense as well. I don't know.

Last night I read an interesting article by Jake Canfield about goes extra mile. Here's one anecdote that I like most.

A man who started his computer shop, never let the customer bring home any computer components. He will pack, send it and assembled it for his customers. After that he would train them on how to use it.

As a result, his shop is the major supplier for PC in _____ (saya lupa nama tempat tu).

So, make short no matter who you are, please go extra mile to serve the clients. Whoever they are.
(macam berceramah plak dah)

Empty vessel makes the most noise

Jadi soalannya sekarang,

1. Berapa peratus peningkatan?
2. Dapatan tahun berapa, dibandingkan dengan apa?
3. Mana buktinya - siapa yang buat kajian? jangka masa kajian?
4. Kadar pengangguran tu macam mana dikira? kalau orang yang in between job dikira penganggur jugakah?
5. Siapa KITA dalam ucapan itu? Apa sumbangan KITA sebelum ini?

Soalan #5 tu yang saya suka sangat nak tegaskan.
Kalau KITA tidak pernah berusaha membantu sebelum ini what d hellyberry r u talking about?

Soalan peribadi untuk si empty vessel ini,
boleh x awak buat homework sebelum bercakap?

good fences make good neighbour

A young couple rented the house on my left.
Both the couple are very friendly but we rarely bumped into one another. The wifey is a doctor. She works on shift hour. The hubby works in a Public University, from my observation his working hour is flexible. Then I just come home on weekends, the day they sometimes wasn't home at all.

I visited them twice. First in January last year to "see" their firstborn child (masa tu dah 2,3 bulan dah umur baby tu pun, x perasan dah bersalin pun) and somewhere late last year to celebrate the birthday.

Anyway I haven't seen Dr Hani lately. 2 weeks ago it was raining heavily but she did not come out to bring in the baby mat. I took and left it at their gate the next day, but still Hani did not stopped by to say hello.

This morning I saw the hubby taking the Baby for a morning walk.

Me : (in a small voice) dia nak g jalan mana ni?
Jiran: Nak tengok kucing. Dia ni kalau menangis nampak kucing terus senyap.
Me : Oh ye ke? Mana Hani? Dah lama akak tak nampak.
Jiran: Dia kat Trengganu sekarang.
Me : Ooo patutla.. bila dia balik?
Jiran: Selamanya-selamanya la..
Me : hah kenapa pulak?
Jiran: Dia dapat tukar sana. Saya pun nanti tgh nak mintak tukar jugak..
Me : Sejak bila?
Jiran: Awal bulan 2 lagi. Tapi anak dgn saya. Dia keje long hours, kesian..
Me : Keje doktor.... baguslah.. baik hati awak, kesian Hani la..
Jiran: Dia nak bawa jugak, tapi saya la tak bagi.. susah nanti.. penat jugak jaga anak ni ye..
Me : Haha
Jiran: Baru la rasa mcm mana mak ayah kita rasa. Ni baru anak sorang ni.. hahah
Me : Tapi akak ada kalau weekend. Anything I could help kasi tau ye..

That's it.
I excused myself and headed to Kedai Xerox.
Oh I forgot something..
I don't even know the hubby's name, neither Dr Hani's full name.
I bet they do not know my name either, coz I m sure for them I m "Akak Sebelah Rumah"

In the class of their own

Pergi mana-mana pun saya tak pernah lupa this bunch of kids.

Malangnya sejak kehadiran 2,3 orang ahli baru mereka mula tunjuk perangai. Konon-kononnya mereka lebih taiko. Elehhhh.... taktik tahun 70-an. Very predictable.

H : Alaaaa... bagilah rehat kejap.. sakit nih..
N : Ha'a Cher* ni... berasap nih.. (ketawa beramai-ramai dan masing-masing memberi komen)
Me : For your info, saya yang report pada ustaz tadi.
Ramai2 : TEACHER!!!!!!!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Me : Saya tak kisah kalau awak benci saya sekarang sebab saya buat macam gini supaya awak masuk belajar. Saya lebih susah hati kalau lagi 20 tahun awak jumpa saya dan cakap, "sebab teacherla kami hidup susah sekarang". Kalau nak marah, marahlah.. (sambil ketawa-ketawa)
Ramai2: Mana ada kitaorang marah. Main-main je tadi. Sensitip beno teacher ni.. Nak buat mana? cuba ajar.

After 30 years, Puduraya congestion is getting worsened. Besides that publuc discomfort grew because it's hot and half the coaches park in the basement level where you struggle to breathe because of the heat and fume. Not to mention the racketing noise.

The renovation and upgrading works commenced on April 12, 2010.
Unfortunately I just knew it today.

Since I need Mallxercise badly, as usual I would googled which shopping complex offered value for money sales for things I needed badly at the moment.

Kalau ikut yang saya nak tu memang la banyak, banglo atas bukit menghadap Laut China Selatan, kereta kaler burgundy tak kisahla cap apapun, breadmaker dan kamera baru (ehh x banyak sangat sebenarnya)

Tapi yang betul2 saya nak dan mampu beli ialah t-shirt baru je sebab dah banyak kali saya nampak anak-anak sedara pau t-shirt Mak Andak dia bila nak g jenjalan. Apakah?

Kotaraya jauh sangat. Hang Tuah tu saya tak pernah dengar. Saya mintak dia sebut landmark kat Hang Tuah tu, tapi lepas dia sebut saya masih x boleh bayangkan.

Bas tu pulak x lalu pun kat Masjid Jamek. Cuak dah.. then bila sampai kat Terminal Hang Tuah tu, mak aiiihhh panas betul. Saya terus follow adik-adik tu lepas diaorang cuit saya dan cakap

"akak inilah Hang Tuah Terminal".

Acho cerewet... Ada satu kali tu, 2,3 kali saya pergi tukar saiz last2 dia x pakai jugak. Hishhh...

Tandasnya bersih, tak payah bayar, cuma masa tu air tak laju.

Surau pun bersih dan saya suka rekabentuknya yang macam terbuka, jadi saya rasa selamat sikit. Tapi entah sapa dah taruk langsir kat situ. Saya tak berkenan betul tempat awam taruk langsir.

Home Remedies for Fever

For me fever is a common ailment. Nothing to worry. In my whole life I only take Medical Leave due to fever once, that was because I refused to take leave on the first time I visit the clinic, even the MA insisted. Come on, it was just a fever, who knows 2 days later I had to see the MA again because at that time I almost collapsed.

Anyway, it is the nature of my job that make me so reluctant to take any leave. Susah hati woo..

Last Monday after iftar I felt dizzy. The next day I really could not move from bed. Make short Yati came and took me to the clinic. The bubbly doc gave me 2 days medical leave. I didn't complaint. Kalau dia kasi seminggu pun saya ikut je, serik..

Now I'm feeling much better. These are things that I found here which I think worth sharing.

Drink as much water as you can in order to replace fluid loss. It will also help to bring down body temperature.

Rest as much as possible.

Avoid suddenly changes in atmospheric temperatures.

:Avoid eating solid foods until the fever is gone. You can replace the foods by drinking plenty of distilled water and/or juices.

when you have fever do not take any supplement containing either iron or zinc. Taking iron causes great tension in a body that is fighting infection; and zinc is not absorbed by the body when you have fever.

Take cool bathes, fill a bath tub, submerge and lay down for 5' approximately. Repeat as needed until the fever is down.

If the fever does not exceed 102 degrees let it run its course. It helps the body to fight infection and eliminate toxins.

When a child has fever do not give them aspirin, instead try to reduce the fever with cold baths.

Valentine's Day

Seriously, one of my first (and the only that I treasured most) memory of Valentine's Day was in 1992, when Saedah (what a classic name!) distributed handmade heart shape card to all of us. She was a new student from SMK Methodist.

We giggled, knee- jerk reaction, but of course we appreciated her effort. Valentine's Day or not, it's good to feel loved and remembered. Don't you think so?

The truth is, few weeks prior to Feb 14th, our ustaz and ustazah back then had reminded us that the origins of Valentine's Day, without failed!. Not going to repeat it, nothing beats wikipedia these days. (here)

I felt uneasy reading news lately, regarding how non-muslim complained about PAS and Ustazah Nur Bayah ( rasa macam salah eja je ni) stand on Valentine's Day. I believe their advice are strictly for muslim in this country. Why all the fuss? If you don't understand, ASK. Never jump to conclusion.

Anyway,
I am glad someone had been sensible enough to publish this news.

Malaysia warns Muslims of Valentine's Day 'trap'

Women shout slogans for the anti-Valentine's Day Campaign, near Kuala Lumpur on 11 February 2011Muslims make up nearly two-thirds of Malaysia's 28 million population

Related Stories

Malaysia has stepped up a campaign to stop Muslims celebrating Valentine's Day - labelling it a "trap" that could encourage immoral behaviour.

Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said Monday's celebration of romantic love was "not suitable" for Muslims.

Several Malaysian states are planning to carry out checks on hotels to stop young couples having premarital sex.

The anti-Valentine's Day campaign by the country's Islamic authorities goes back to a fatwa issued in 2005.

Valentine's Day is synonymous with vice activities”

Leaflets have been distributed to Muslim university students urging them to avoid Monday's celebration.

The government-run Department of Islamic Development, which handles religious policies, has launched a publicity campaign called "Mind the Valentine's Day Trap".

Wan Mohamad Sheikh Abdul Aziz, the department's chief, told state media: "In reality, as well as historically, the celebration of Valentine's Day is synonymous with vice activities.

"Islam would reject anything, even from the Eastern culture, if it contravenes the Islamic teachings."

He said Islam had never rejected positive things from the West, noting that it had embraced Mother's and Father's Day.

But not all Malaysian Muslims agree with the campaign, with some saying Valentine's Day is harmless.

Other faiths are not affected by the boycott in a country where Muslims make up nearly two-thirds of the 28 million population.
